Second Sanitation Annual Learning Event 2008

The National Sanitation Working Group (NSWG) planned for its second annual learning event for its members, local Governments and Technical support units as part of its 2008 interventions.
The objectives of 2008 NLE
The overall objective of the 2008 NLE was to facilitate the enhanced learning and sharing of information on sustainable sanitation and hygiene. Specifically the objectives were:
Share the concept, development, best practice and initiatives on CLTS and its application to communities in the Ugandan context.
Raise awareness of stakeholders in sanitation and hygiene on the importance of learning and sharing information among sector organizations and individuals at all levels.
Appreciate the importance of scaling-up sanitation and hygiene initiatives, including learning and sharing, for the wider WATSAN sector
Consolidate the main findings and lessons learnt by Plan (U) in view of scaling up best approaches and practices related to Sanitation and Hygiene promotion.
